Time to go riding

This is the final state of my 1991 KTM 300 EXC

I bought this bike to go riding with JR in ’96. The bike was pretty tatty, so I spent a lot of time rebuilding it.

Everything was done to this bike, it had a new piston and barrel coating (it still had cracks around the exhaust ports).

I put an full FMF and chain/sprockets etc. etc.

But never rode it off-road!

At the time this pic was taken I was just running it in and doing the final checks when Pro-Action got the WR250.

The WR was practically brand new so I took it and traded this in. The guy that got this bike got an awesome machine.

I think the 300 Katoom is the best two stroke off road bike ever. It won’t do the Dakar, but for all the smaller events I think it would be perfect.

It’s light, really quick, reliable and well spec’ed

The garage was my Dad’s, too much stuff, too much work, not enough time.

My brothers 350 YPVS is under wraps on the left.
