Serious machine!

I traded the Duke in on this R1, a 2001 model bought new for £6,999.

The R1 is a serious machine, it was a very fast combination of light weight and lots of power.

It surprised me a couple of times as it got up to speed very quickly, I needed to recalibrate the brain to keep up with it.

I put a Micron carbon pipe slip-on onto it but it was a little too loud and the police were cracking down on that sort of stuff.

Otherwise the bike remained standard. I fiddled about with the suspension and settings, this made it a bit better to ride.

Quickest bike I’ve had and more than enough in the UK.
