Husqvarna TE 610

First bike in the UK

I bought the TE when I was living in Watford. I was into Supermoto at the time.

I changed the wheels over and got an Ohlins SM shock for it.

The 610 was a quick machine, it definitely had a power-band like a big two-stroke.

But the vibes were horrific, if I rode it for longer than an hour I would have to make sure I didn’t clench my teeth as there was a high frequency vibration that made my fillings ache!

It was a hard bike to start; this version was the kick start only option.

Good bike overall though, worst thing I did to it was let it fall over, the gear lever went through the clutch cover.

The cover is magnesium and very thin. Get the after-market aluminium one!
