Trans America Trail - 2008

Review – Cargo rack DR650.

Bought this off eBay too and it works like charm, having a rack and a load of bunji-cords meant I could almost carry whatever I wanted. I start with a tent, sleeping bag, square luggage bag and a ground-roll and ended up with a duffel bag and it catered for all of that no problem.

The design uses the stock grab-rail mounts on the bike but doesn’t discard them. It mounts in four places there and a single center point. The ‘tray’ section bolts to the mounts via 4 stainless steel cap screws and it is quality throughout.

It’s about 12” long and 23” wide. It actually extends over the indicators so they would be protected if the bike was dropped. I didn’t drop the bike so I never found out.

It was 69 dollars and I thought that was a deal.
